Insurance Protection Before and After Departure
We strongly recommend travellers to consider purchasing from their travel agent applicable insurance for major reasons (e.g. injury, sickness or death of themselves or a member of their immediate family or of a single travel companion with whom they are sharing accommodations during the trip.) for cancelling their trip prior to departure or trip interruption after departure. Adequate insurance coverage for luggage and personal belongings is also encouraged.
Holiday Prices
Tour costs in this brochure are quoted in CANADIAN dollars, unless otherwise stated, and are based on the costs and exchange rates in effect at the time of contract negotiations with suppliers. They are subject to change without notice. Except for a price increase that is the result of government taxation, an increase of more than 7% in the price of travel package after the deposit has been paid will give you the right to cancel the travel services without penalty, in which case our liability to you will be limited to the refund of monies paid. Our prices do not include any items other than those specified and exclude such items as air transportation, expenses of a personal nature, airport taxes, tips and gratuities, local municipal taxes.
Documentation
Passengers should be in possession of a valid passport and must ensure that they comply with applicable visa requirements. It is the responsibility of each person to obtain the necessary documents at his/her expense. Every effort has been made to describe as accurately as possible the travel services you are purchasing. You must however be aware that each country or region has particular features (e.g. food, water, weather, customs, etc) which may or may not appeal to you. There are many different living standards, practices and conditions at your destination, compared with what you are used to. By purchasing these travel services, you are presumed to have made all necessary inquiries in this regard.
Limitation of Responsibility
VICTOURS INTL. makes arrangements with suppliers who provide your travel services such as airlines, cruise lines, hotels, buses, sightseeing, train, car rental or other activities included in your tour. Although we try our best to choose the most reputable suppliers. We cannot be responsible for their acts and omissions. VICTOURS acts only in an agent's capacity for passengers in all matters relating to goods and services rendered and as such, hold themselves free of responsibility for any delay, loss of property, injury, accident, death, damage, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, distress or frustration, whether physical or mental, resulting from any of the following:
Any wrongful or negligent act or omission on the part of any travel suppliers* or their personnel or any company or person not under the direct control of VICTOURS INTL. *Outlined in our vouchers
Sickness, theft, labour disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, war, government restraints, weather, closed roads or accesses, or an any other cause beyond our direct control. Failure on passenger's part obtain the necessary documentation by the time of travel, in which case VICTOURS cannot refund any monies paid. Failure to arrive at the airport on time on the day of departure or not to be on time for the various convocations during the trip, for any reason.
VICTOURS reserves the right to modify the itinerary or the carriers, substitute accommodation whenever necessary or cancel the trip completely. In such an event, it will not be liable for claims, damages or losses beyond the refund of costs. In the event of cancellation of the trip by VICTOURS, the full refund of monies paid will represent the final settlement with the passenger. If a modification in the itinerary results in a saving, a refund would be made, conversely if the modification should entail additional expenses, such expenses would be borne by the passenger. VICTOURS reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a tour member whose presence may impede the operation of the tour or the rights or enjoyment of the other passengers. Under such circumstances, unused land services only will be refunded. VICTOURS, the travel agents and carriers accept no responsibility for loss of tickets, coupons or any travel documents. Written notice or any claims against VICTOURS must be received no later than fourteen (14) days after your return from your trip.
No representative of VICTOURS or the suppliers is authorized to modify or cancel any of the above.
